New technology is creating a resurgence of entrepreneurship, after decades of decline. Shopify’s CEO Tobi Lütke will discuss the future of commerce and the opportunity for sustainable entrepreneurship not just in Canada, but around the world. Moderated by Rosemary Barton, host of CBC’s The National, this session will explore the state of entrepreneurship, how to build an environment where it thrives and flourishes, and the many ways technology is changing the face of commerce.
Rosemary Barton is an award-winning journalist and co-host of the CBC’s flagship news program, The National. She was most recently the host of the CBC’s daily political show, Power & Politics. Rosemary was also a National reporter with CBC’s Parliamentary Bureau, covering federal elections and leadership campaigns. She joined CBC as Quebec’s legislative reporter at the National Assembly in 2004.
Rosemary started her journalism career in her hometown of Winnipeg as a researcher for CBC’s French news network, RDI. She has a degree in French literature from College Universitaire de Saint-Boniface and a Master’s degree in Journalism from Carleton University.
