If data is the new oil, then trust is the currency of the future. While technology has enabled exponential opportunities to share and exchange information, it has also led to instances where information has been misused, resulting in an erosion of trust. This session will highlight how we can develop a framework for innovation in a future where trust is paramount by rooting ourselves in principles of irrefutability, authenticity, inclusivity and relevance for consumers.
Debbie Gamble is the Chief Officer of Innovation Labs and New Ventures for Interac where she drives the company’s innovation strategy and mines for new venture and partnership opportunities. Her firsthand experience with mobile commerce, digital ID and cryptocurrency solutions make her one of the Canada’s foremost authorities on the digital economy.
She has consulted with companies including The Royal Canadian Mint, Visa, Telus, Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation, Mint Technology, Bell Media and others, providing strategic insights, product and innovation expertise for emerging payment and digital commerce trends. Debbie is also an advisor at MaRS, Luge Capital, a member of the FINCA Advisory Board and a founding member of Verity Women’s Club.
